Engineer

As a machine operator, you are the specialist in operating and working with our crane. You ensure that scrap metal is moved smoothly. Operating the wheel loader (shovel) and the water truck are also part of the job, which means your work is varied. We use modern equipment from Sennebogen, Caterpillar, Volvo, and other manufacturers. All of this takes place at our customer's production site in Velsen-Noord.

What are you going to do?

As a machine operator, you are responsible for processing scrap metal. You do this by:

• Loading containers;
• Unloading ships;
• Collecting and processing scrap metal using a crane and/or processing machine.

As a train driver, you will work an average of 38.5 hours per week in a 4-day shift schedule, alternating between day and afternoon shifts. Your shifts will be from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

What are we asking?

As a machine operator, you can operate our cranes and vehicles to carry out the work smoothly. You enjoy getting things done and have sufficient knowledge of all materials. You also bring the following to the table:

• At least 1 year of experience as a machine operator;
• Basic Safety Certificate (VCA) or willing to obtain it;
• Experience in steel recycling or a similar industry.

Applying for a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is part of the application procedure.

What do we offer?

• A contract for an average of 38.5 hours per week for 7 months with the prospect of permanent employment. In addition, you can count on:
• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer, from 10 kilometers one way with a maximum of 50 kilometers per day;

Who are we?

At our location in Velsen, we work in a close-knit team of drivers, operational staff, and office workers. The machine operators sort and process the materials on the production site for our client.
