Inland waterway skipper

Within the Theo Pouw Groep , we have three of our own inland vessels: the motor barges Alexander and Wessel and the motor vessel Rosanne. We use these vessels to transport primary and secondary building materials and contaminated and cleaned soil. We are looking for a skipper for the Wessel or the Rosanne.

What are you going to do?

In the role of skipper, you are responsible in the broadest sense of the word for the ship, its crew, and the cargo. The safety and well-being of the crew is paramount. You will be working on a modern ship with a professional crew. Your duties will include:

• Navigating, steering, and maneuvering the ship;
• Responsible for managing the crew and ensuring the (preventive) maintenance of the ship;
• Reporting necessary repairs or (major) maintenance;
• Any additional administrative tasks.

What are we asking?

With your leadership skills, you take responsibility for both the work and the crew. Collaborating and communicating with your team comes easily to you, and thanks to your flexible and solution-oriented approach, you know how to tackle challenges efficiently. You also bring:

• AB large boat license;
• Radar license and VHF radio certificate.

A contract for 40 hours per week for 1 year with the prospect of permanent employment. We participate in the collective labor agreement for professional goods transport. This means you can also count on:
