General Assistant

As an All-Round Employee at our Weert location, one day you’ll be driving the dump truck to our customers, and the next day you’ll be using the loader to load that same truck for your colleague. This means no two days are ever the same.

What are you going to do?

You’ll handle all the day-to-day tasks at our branch to support your colleagues as needed, ensuring that our operations run smoothly every day. In doing so, you’ll help keep both your colleagues and our customers happy. Here’s how you’ll do it:

• Transporting our raw materials for civil engineering and concrete construction using a dump truck;
• Loading a truck with a loader;
• Daily maintenance and troubleshooting of minor malfunctions on the dump truck and loader;
• Keep the grounds tidy.

What are we asking?

You aim to work as independently and comprehensively as possible, both on and off our premises. You also bring the following:

• CE driver's license and Code 95;
• At least 1 year of experience as a driver;
• At least 1 year of experience operating a loader/shovel;
• A Basic Safety Certificate (VCA) or a willingness to obtain one at our expense.

What do we offer?

A 40-hour-per-week contract for 7 months, with the possibility of a permanent position. We are covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Commercial Freight Transport. This means you can also count on:

• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer, from 10 kilometers one way with a maximum of 50 kilometers per day;
• Code 95 refresher training (reimbursement for training hours and courses);
• Work phone;
• A good pension plan with the Transport Pension Fund, with a total contribution of 30% of the pension base and an employee contribution of 10.16%;

• 27.5 vacation days based on full-time employment and additional days from the age of 45.

Who are we?

At our facility in Weert, we manage the intake and processing of contaminated soil and construction and demolition waste, and handle the storage and transshipment of raw materials. Our transportation department also handles the transport of primary and secondary raw materials for earthworks, road construction, water management, and concrete construction.
